A big anniversary is coming up — the 70th year of Morristown’s Derby Days, one of the town’s most cherished traditions. Residents gather every year on the last weekend in July for this popular event.
This year will kick off with a derby race on Friday, July 28, accompanied by a beer garden, fun food and a live DJ. After a breakfast at the American Legion on Saturday, a parade will flood through the town with children on bikes, alumni on floats and residents in vintage cars and tractors. The Scouts will then race their derby cars down the main hill in town at the end of the parade.
These are just a few of the many attractions you can enjoy on this special occasion. As you march through Morristown, be sure to check out all the booths filled with homemade items, enjoy the delicious goodies at the Lion’s Club Fish Fry tent and take part in the myriad of fun events for all ages.
